Bamboo is the most renewable and sustainable raw material available. Bamboo's rapid growth rate of up to 4 feet per day quickly delivers far more usable material per acre than any other natural fiber. Bamboo cultivation requires less land and water than other raw materials and zero pesticides or chemical fertilizers. Bamboo is harvested using low-impact practices. Furthermore, bamboo prevents erosion, adds nutrients back to the soil, and absorbs more carbon dioxide and emits more oxygen than equivalent stands of trees.
